• error Cautions and warnings
  • Demandic is in the testing and hypothetical stage. There are many problems and limitations. Service suspension, data exposure or data loss may occur.
  • Support and warranty are provided by sellers with different policies. Support by Peace and Passion is very limited. See the support page.
  • Obey the guideline and the ban list that defines proper use and improper use. Users have to contribute to mutual moderation to eliminate improper uses.
  • Be very careful of fraudulent sales during a consultation session. Finish the session when you are persistently asked to buy. It is safer to use an open session where the conversation is published. The buyer should decline if the seller's price is significantly higher than the market price plus the cost of the session (e.g. masks). Sellers must not force purchases or offer such prices. The Demandic Ocean is not a place to seek excessive profits.
  • All trades have risks. When you think you are cheated, ask your local police. In a session, you can see the IP address of the peer. Pass it, date and time to the police so that they can co-operate with Internet providers for the peer's name and address. Peace and Passion may provide user's personal information when requested by police and the court.
  • Use for work with below the minimum wage is strictly prohibited. Give them or yourself an appropriate pay that will improve their or your income.

  • You can have a free receiver and an organization can have up to 30 free receivers. Having more receivers by making organizations for a business is strictly prohibited.
  • Although an organization has several D-domains, only making a free D-domain is available now. A free D-domain has year and country like "//hirai-2020-jp". We will inform you when purchase reservation of favorite (cool) D-domains becomes available.
  • Users' data and personal information are stored on servers around the world.
• security Privacy of user settings and public profiles

  Protecting privacy is a common concern when buying or selling. On Demandic, dealing by a fictitious name or anonymous is prohibited. Anyone must use their real name.

  You can control display of your information as follows;

  User settings

  Information other than following is not open. Some are visible in the organization. Country, region, name and D-address are copied to your public profile. When you buy, your contact information is disclosed to the sellers. The sellers are not allowed to send you messages (e.g. sales information) other than the purpose of providing maintenance and supplies.

  User's public profile and information (contents)

  Since your contents such as demands and public profile are read by others, write things that will not cause any inconvenience. In a demand, your name, address and email are not shown. Don't write about them. But country, region, reviews, rating, your buy record (the number of demands and buys) are displayed. In consultation sessions, the above plus IP address, name and D-address are visible to peers (Wait, IP address? See Cautions and warnings). In public spaces such as discussion forum and FAQ, country, region, name, rating and your buy record are displayed. By turning the Show switch ON, you can show your gender, generation, nickname, social media, home page address and others.

  Organization settings

  Name, organization type, country, region, D-domain are copied to public profiles and visible. Other information is invisible.

  Organization's public profiles and SDGs, ESG reports

  You can write about variety of information such as contact, social media, business hours, business area. The head office and branches can have different public profiles and SDGs, ESG reports in their languages for encouraging SDGs and ESG purchasing. Information including name, logo and location is published on the public profile list and the user list.

  For more privacy, read our Privacy Policy. The following is its summary.

  • Don't write any personal information such as name or contact on demands.
  • Demandic matches demands and supplies using location information. Rough locations of demands and receivers are displayed on the map.
  • Sellers require identification verification and confirmation of existence of organizations. A public profile must contain officials and contact information as ruled by law.
  • Peace and Passion is independent from AIST and Japanese government, though Peace and Passion uses research product made by AIST. Peace and Passion does not provide user data to AIST or Japanese Government.
  • We anonymize and statisticize your personal information and data into statistical information, and use it for research purposes such as economics and information technology. The anonymized statistical information will be provided to other organizations such as companies and research institutes for research purposes. In order to find more suitable sellers for your demands, your contents such as demands are provided to other organizations by our permission.
  • We may send information on the service to you.
  • In spite of above mentioned, your information might be disclosed to governmental authority such as tax authorities, polices and the courts by their order.
• clear Withdrawal from Demandic and deletion of your data

  Currently withdrawal can be done by deleting your individual user account from the user settings. The deletion of individual user account and data will be possible only if there is no visible demands and no belonging organization user account. In case of deletion, all of your data is deleted.

  [Future plan from here] Withdrawal from Demandic is always possible. If you withdraw, all of your user accounts will be locked, and your products and public profiles will become invisible. Your demands will be closed but still visible for three months in order to prevent improper use. Because messages and quotes were copied to your peer, they can continue to use them. Your payment will continue until the balance becomes zero.

  When you withdraw, you can choose either to leave your data or to delete it. If you leave the data, you can resume your accounts with the save D-addresses, if you remember your password.

  However, the deletion of individual user account and data will be possible only if there is no belonging organization user account. Organizations have to retain the record of your deal for a certain period of time by law, only administrator user can delete your organization account. If you need, ask them. If you want to withdraw with leaving your accounts and data, you can delete your projects and profiles. Once you delete your account or data, they will never come back. User accounts and data for an organization and a user will be deleted without any warning if they have no log-in for more than three years. If extension is needed, use the extension option.
